One of the things that sets Atlas Training apart from most online CDA training is our connection to individual programs, in addition to the trainees themselves. We understand that while training participants may be self-motivated to grow professionally, the realities of their lives frequently include caring for children and family members, juggling multiple jobs, and having less of an academic foundation from which to grow. Understanding this, we realize that program administrators have a greater position of authority and access to participants than we do; therefore, we have grown to prioritize ongoing communication and collaboration with programs.

As a Partner Program, you can expect:

  • Monthly updates on participant progress, which may include some or all of the following elements: frequency of logins; concerns about student understanding of high-importance topics; frequency of assignment submissions; and other challenges or successes.
  • Access to our administrative instructional team.
  • One-on-one meetings with our team as requested.

Atlas Training / [Your Organization]

Interagency Collaboration

Letter of Agreement:

The CDA program at Atlas Training is built upon the CDA’s content framework, ensuring that sufficient hours of training in each Subject Area AND Functional Area are facilitated during the course of the program to each training participant. Our training framework is sectioned into 14 units that are aligned with the Functional Areas. Within each unit, content addresses each of the Subject Areas.

This intentional design ensures that training is progressive, cumulative, and that it addresses every dimension of teacher training outlined by the Council. Where some CDA training programs take a buffet style approach – with participants randomly selecting topics from each functional area and sorting them into categories after the fact – our program’s training model ensures that: 1) all participants receive the same training, 2) all relevant training areas are addressed during the course of the program, and 3) that participants can build on their knowledge over time.

The following exchange of information, opportunities, and resources is agreed upon in an effort to enhance the quality of services provided to young children by delivering partnerships with other programs and businesses in our communities.
